Etymology of a blog

"When the whistle blows" has a deliberate double meaning. First, the whistle signifies the end of the workday (I know this thanks to the Flintstones). Second, the whistle is used by officials in most sports. My career and interests are in the business of sports, thus I felt the name was appropriate.

(HT to my wife for coming up with the title)

The real reason I like the name is because it's a reference to a fictional television show that was part of the TV series Extras, starring Ricky Gervais.
